Climate change is not just a topic you hear on the news; it's affecting every living creature on Earth. According to The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), only 9% of plastic waste is recycled (15% is collected for recycling, but 40% of that is disposed of as residues). Most of the plastic waste ended in landfill.

Join us and millions of people around the globe, taking steps to reduce plastic pollution by switching to plastic-free products. Not sure where to start? Have a quick scan around the house. It would be difficult not to notice bathroom is nested with mostly plastic containers. This is because toiletries and personal care products usually come in liquid form and are packaged in plastic bottles, tubes or jars - all single-use plastics.

We have put together a list of items around the house to help you make an easy switch:

Body wash#1 - Swap liquid shower gel for body natural soap bars

Body soap bars are solid body wash and usually come in simple packaging. Natural soaps handmade in small batches with all-natural ingredients are simply gentle and naturally moisturising to the skin. Look out for soaps that are wrapped in zero-plastic, sustainable packaging. This is one of the most effective ways to reduce single-use plastics in your household waste!

Face wash#2 - Switch from face wash tubes to facial soap bars

Like natural body soap bars, facial soaps can gently cleanse your skin without stripping natural oils. Look out for natural soaps that contain antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and exfoliating properties from natural ingredients as they will boost healthy-looking skin and give a natural glow.

Hand wash#3 - Replace handwash bottles with hand soap bars

Handwash is one of the easiest to eliminate. By swapping for cold-process natural soap bars, you'd also notice your skin becomes softer and hydrated due to glycerin within natural soaps attracting and retaining moisture in your skin.

Hair wash#4 - Use solid shampoo bars instead

Many shampoos now come in solid form and contain no parabens, sulfates or silicone - resulting in healthy hair and less damage.

Shaving cream#5 - Try solid shaving soaps

With rising awareness of global warming, the range of solid shaving bars is increasing, and they are available as an alternative to shaving cream in plastic jars or tubes. Shaving soaps can produce a super dense lather for extraordinary cushion and glide.

Let's work together to make a positive change - big or small, collectively, we can make a big difference.
